It’s the end of the school year and you’re looking for that special gift. It can be tricky to find the perfect job for that special teacher in your life. Check the list for 5 End of Year Teacher Gifts that will give you ideas for those special teachers out there!
1. Gift Cards
There’s nothing better than receiving a gift card! The only small detail that should be known is where your teacher prefers to shop. One year I was asked about my favorite place to shop, I said, Trader Joe’s. I love Trader Joe’s and received several gift cards from Trader Joe’s.
Make it Extra Special by adding a personal Thank You note. If your teacher is bilingual, make it in both English and Spanish to show off your Bilingual Skills.
More Gift Card Ideas:
- Bath & Bodyworks
- Target
- Michael’s
- Amazon
- Any Local Grocery Store (Especially for New Teachers)
- Starbucks or Any Local Coffee House
2. Gift Baskets
Pinterest has many ideas for Teacher Gift Baskets. Some items to add to the basket could be: pens, sticky notes, soft socks, hand sanitizer, dry erase markers, hair clips, hair ties, notebook. As a teacher, I really treasure these types of items. They make my day because it is a very thoughtful gift. What would you add to the gift basket?
3. Drink Tumblers
From coffee tumblers to Stanley dupes, teachers love to have their many different beverages available. I’ve seen students bring in really cool looking bottles that inspire me to get my own. If you’re looking for budget friendly tumblers and bottles, go to Walmart. They usually have cute and effective water bottles. Yeti is on the more expensive end, but they are the most reliable for keeping drinks cold or hot. If you want to impress your favorite teacher and you know she/he carry a lot of drinks to school, gift them a drink carrier.
4. Tote Bags
I love a good sturdy Tote Bag. Adding a Tote Bag to your teacher’s gift basket would add a special touch. Tote bags are great for teachers that need to take something home and need a separate bag to organize it all. Totes also come in different sizes and styles. My favorite are the ones that can carry books and planners. There are others that are short, sturdy and have many pockets included.
5. Plants
Plants are a nice gift for teachers to receive. Make sure that you provide a vase or a pot for the plant. If it’s a green leaf plant in a pot a teacher can keep in the classroom or take home. Easy to take care plants are best for gifts that can stay in the classroom. In that case, get fake potted plants that come in a stylish ceramic pot. These are cute and can bring green happiness into the classroom. Not to mention the only maintenance you will have to give the plant is cleaning the dust off. A single flower can also be a sweet addition to a hand written note.
Self-Care
As part of the 5 End of Year Teacher gifts, don’t forget that Self-Care is also an important part of a Teacher Gift. Maybe gift your favorite teacher a gift card to a Spa, Pedicure, or Hair Salon.
